The Health Index (HI) is an algorithm designed to assess a user’s health and lifestyle quality, calculated on a 100-point scale.
It is based on three main categories: Vitals, Activity, and Well-being, each with specific subcategories and weighted scoring factors.
The HI is recalculated weekly using data from Helo Devices.
How does the Health Index work?
- Vitals (Max Score: 35): Assesses cardiovascular, respiratory, and overall health through factors like heart rate, blood pressure, ECG, and SpO2 levels.
Subcategories and Weights:
-
-
Cardiovascular Analysis (40%):
- Heart Rate (17%): Graded based on the user’s average heart rate.
- Blood Pressure (13%): Graded based on the user’s average blood pressure.
- ElectroCardiogram (ECG) (25%): Only AI-analyzed ECG readings considered, with expected result being “Normal”. Any abnormal reading will result in negative points for this factor.
- Accelerated Photoplethysmograph (APG) (20%): Readings over 3 are considered risky and end up in negative points, there is a 10% tolerance.
- Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) (25%): Calculated based on AFib measurement, with expected results being “Normal”. Abnormal results will cause negative points, there is a 20% tolerance.
-
Respiratory Analysis (40%):
- Breath Rate (30%): Graded based on the user’s average breath rate within the time period.
- Blood Oxygen Saturation (SpO2) (70%): Each result is evaluated individually, with readings over 94 considered normal, there is a 10% tolerance.
-
Overall Analysis (20%):
- Body Mass Index (50%): Expected to be in healthy zone.
- Temperature (50%): Graded based on average of the user within the time period.
-
Cardiovascular Analysis (40%):
- Activity (Max Score: 30): Evaluates weekly sports participation, daily steps, and average calories burned. If you don't reach the goal you will not receive score for the subcategory.
Subcategories and Weights:
-
- Daily Steps (50%): Users are expected to take at least 6000 steps, five times a week. If the goal is missed, points will be deducted from total.
- Weekly Sports (30%): Users are expected to do sport activities for at least 30 minutes, twice a week. If the goal is missed, points will be deducted from total.
- Average Calories Burned (20%): Users are expected to burn at least 300 calories to match the goal.
- Well-being (Max Score: 35): Includes sleep duration and quality, stress levels, energy levels, stand hours, and bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA).
Subcategories and Weights:
-
- Sleep Duration Analysis (20%): Expected to be over 7 hours for adults.
- Sleep Quality Analysis (20%): Users are expected to have over 70% score for at least 4 days of the week.
- Stress Analysis (20%): Expected to maintain a stress level lower than 70, there is a 10% tolerance.
- Stand Hours (20%): Users should stand at least once at 10 different hours of the day, five days a week.
- Energy Analysis (10%): Users should maintain a 50 energy level for at least two-thirds of the day.
- Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) (10%): Each value is expected to be within range.
To View the Health Index
1. Open the inPersona app and select your Data NFT on the dashboard tab.
2. The Health Index should appear under the Data NFT.
3. For a more in depth look, select the Health Index icon.
Please note:
- The Health Index is available for all Data NFTs, but the $B3TR rewards is only available for Data NFTs Level 1 and up.
- If you don't have a VeChain Wallet you will still receive the Health Index insights, but will not be rewarded with $B3TR tokens.
- The index is recalculated every Monday using data collected from the previous week.
- Missing readings for a specific measurement will result in negative or no points being awarded for that measurement.
- The algorithm is in the beta phase and will be gradually improved and might change over time.
